The Spring IFLRY General Assembly was held in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Spring IFLRY General Assembly was held from 1^st to 4^th of June in Thessaloniki, Greece. Youth MRF was represented by Gyulfie Arnaudova and Myumyun Myumyun – members of the Central Executive Council, Melisa Sevki and Sunay Syuleymanov – members of Youth MRF.

The regular IFLRY General Assembly discussed core international issues such as Cyprus unification process, refugee crisis, youth unemployment and economic self-initiativeness and authonomy. Beside the discussion of resolutions and the abovementioned topics, there were snap elections, which elected 2 Bureau members – Vice president and Treasurer. A new Auditor was elected for a period of a year.

Before the GA closing Gyulfie Arnaudova stressed all delegate’s attention to the political situation in Bulgaria and the state of democracy at the moment taking into account the participation of nationalists and populists in the government. She asked for all delegates’s support in internationalization of the problem, because according to her, the problem is not a Bulgarian one. “The problem with populism and nationalism is an international one and we should tackle it with international instruments.” she said in front of more than 120 delegates. IFLRY expressed its support for Youth MRF in the fight against nationalism. A stance on the issue is expected to be made by the organization.
