A Youth MRF representative took part in an international event which was held in Georgia

From 20^th until 23th September 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia the Annual Meeting of ‘Friedrich Naumann’ Foundation for East and Southeast Europe was held. The topic of the event this year was ‘The Artist and the Tyrant’ – How to Promote Freedom through Art’. Youth MRF was represented by Tanzer Yuseinov.

The participants of the event were divided into small groups of the different types of art (poetry and literature, theatre, TV / Video, music, fine arts). They had the opportunity to share good practices and to discuss modern ways to promote liberalisation through art. The organisers presented an exhibition of photographs about life in the German Democratic Republic, Soviet Georgia and caricatures about the political life in Georgia.

Dr Rayner Adam – Director of the ‘Friedrich Naumann’ foundation for East and Southeast Europe and also Petya Dyulgerova – project coordinator for Bulgaria and Macedonia of ‘Friedrich Naumann’ foundation participated in the event.

Among the participants were representatives of political parties, NGO’s and other active participants in the public and political life who promote freedom and spread liberal values.
