Representatives from Youth MRF elected for delegates at the ALDE Congress

Antoaneta Asenova - member of the Bureau of
the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) and Tanzer Yuseinov - member of Youth MRF
were elected as delegates for
the ALDE Party Congress, which will be held in the autumn of 2019 in Athens, Greece. This happened during the
Congress of the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) in Brussels
- the capital of Belgium and
the heart of Europe, which was held between 5-7 April 2019. Sevim Musak - a
member of the Youth MRF also took part in the Bulgarian delegation to the Congress.

The international recognition for the work of
Youth MRF both at the national and international level comes merely 2 weeks after Syuleiman Syuleiman, member
of the Central Operative Council of Youth MRF, was elected for Vice
President of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY).

In addition to the election, the LYMEC Congress launched the campaign for the
European Parliament elections. The organization also expanded its reach by
adopting new member organizations from Serbia, the Czech Republic, Spain and
Iceland, and discussed and adopted resolutions on the environment and climate
change, freedom and safety on the Internet, the future of the EU and European
institutions.

The group of nearly 100 young liberals from all across Europe also
enjoyed a discussion with Guy Verhofstadt - President of the Alliance of
Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group in the European Parliament and former
Prime Minister of Belgium (1999-2008). The emphasis at the discussion was on the
topics of the future of the European Union, Brexit and the importance of young
people as the driving force in the political processes.
