Seminar on "Migration Tensions: Duty, Responsibility and Populism" took place from 9 to 12 May in the capital of Hungary - Budapest. The seminar is organized by the Liberal Youth International IFLRY.


For 4 days, participants from more than 20 countries including Jordan, Morocco, Libya, Germany, Poland, Afghanistan, Denmark, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Armenia and Russia together studied the links between migration and populism at a seminar in the European Youth Center in Budapest. Participants discussed potential strategies to combat the rise of right-wing populism with the Hungarian Helsinki Committee and the Momentum Liberal Organization.


Youth MRF was represented by Gyulfi Arnaudova - member of the International Affairs Division of Youth MRF and Vice President of IFLRY, and Rosen Dimitrov - member of MRF District Council and the Human Rights Program in IFLRY .


The policies, objectives and principles that Youth MRF implements in the Republic of Bulgaria were also discussed and presented. In search of shelter for already settled refugees who are still very much misunderstood by many European societies, the Bulgarian ethnic model, the author of which is Dr. Ahmed Dogan, was presented. The issues related to populism, its dimensions in different countries through the prism of all participants were also discussed.
