The second
National meeting of the Academic Associations of the Youth MRF in the city of
Plovdiv. More than 400 students from the academic centres across the country
took part. The event was honoured by MRF chairman Mustafa Karadayi. The leader
of the MRF talked with the young supporters of the Youth MRF about the current
political situation in the country and in Europe, about the forthcoming
European elections and about the current issues of the National Assembly.
Mustafa Karadayi
clarified the party's mission by stating that the main mission of the Movement
for Rights and Freedoms is to preserve the integrity of the Motherland and to
preserve peace, stability, democracy and the rights and freedoms of the
citizens. With our responsible actions, we are committed to working for a more
decent life for all Bulgarian citizens. We have been consistent in our actions
for 30 years now, while you see how other parties very easily fall to
radicalism and nationalism.
On a question
related to the upcoming European elections, the MRF leader said the forthcoming
European elections did not just pick the new EP. These choices first determine
the direction in which our state will develop. Each vote determines the
political responsibility of the participants in the election. After the
election, you will see what weight and responsibility each person has to fulfil
in the political arena. And secondly, it the environment in which we will hold
the local elections.
The President of
the Youth MRF and MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk stressed the importance of the academic associations
and said they would play an important role in preparing for the forthcoming
European elections.
Within the
framework of the National Meeting, lecture was delivered by Dr. Dzhevdet
Chakarov, MP from Plovdiv. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairperson
of MRF Ahmed Ahmedov, the MRF Plovdiv Regional Chairperson Yuksel Rasim, the Municipal
Chairperson of MRF Plovdiv Ali Bayram and Mayor of Belitsa Municipality
Radoslav Revanski.
